دانه کلزا در سال دو بار برداشت می شود، یکبار اردیبهشت ماه و یکبار آذرماه. از این رو تقریبا در تمام سال این دانه در بازار قابل عرضه می باشد. اما فصل پاییز مهمترین زمان برداشت و فروش این دانه روغنی است.
از آنجایی که کلزا دارای روغن بالایی است و همچنین کنجاله آن نیز دارای 40-45% پروتئین می باشد برای خوراک دام مفید بوده و استقبال زیادی از کنجاله آن می شود.
